Injury Compensation Abroad – Mobile

Your holiday should be the most relaxing time of the year, but unfortunately trips abroad can occasionally go wrong and leave you wondering what to do next.

Croftons Solicitors have the necessary experience and expertise to deal with all kinds of holiday compensation claims.

There are many ways in which a holiday can go wrong, and as with any personal injury claim establishing that you were not at fault is key to successfully obtaining compensation.

We are very aware that having an accident abroad can add to the stress of the situation, as in some cases (e.g. road traffic accidents) it is not immediately clear whether or not your case can be heard at home or in the country where the incident occurred.

This is why it is so important to get in touch with us at the earliest possible opportunity in order to give yourself the best possible chance of securing compensation.

Package Travel Regulations 1992

One of the more common types of holiday compensation claim involves accidents that occur on package holidays.

These cases can encompass a broad range of circumstances, including injuries sustained during travel to and from your destination, accidents on pre-booked excursions and food poisoning.

Fortunately, the Package Travel Regulations 1992 are in place to ensure that your holiday company must take responsibility for anything that goes wrong within the parameters of what you booked with them.

This does also mean that some incidents are not included within these regulations.

For example, if you book a day trip upon arrival and have an accident during it, this will not be judged as part of your package deal.
