Home > No more free Sunday Parking
A report from the BBC says that the London based Westminster Council is the latest local authority to end free evening and Sunday parking. The council follows other authorities, including Manchester and Liverpool who are all considering or have already brought in extended parking charges.
There are concerns in city centre businesses about the impact this will have on High Street retail and evening entertainment and from churches about how it will affect congregation numbers.
Of course more parking restrictions mean a greater risk of parking fines. At Croftons Solicitors we’ve expanded The Accident App to include a free car parking assistant (we’ve called it the Car Compass). The new feature allows you to store the location of where you have parked your car, to monitor the time you have on the parking and have a reminder to let you know when it is going to run out.
We can’t pay the parking fines for you but we hope this will help you avoid them!
