Whether your hen party or stag night is a lively occasion or a quiet one such as the royal bride, the Duchess of Cambridge chose, spare a thought for those ‘behind the scenes’.
“What started out as a simple task to add to the fun of a hen night became a nightmare for one of my client’s and her work colleague,” says Vicky Slater, Personal Injury Specialist at Croftons.
“Ms M and her colleague were employed by a company specialising in printing knickers. Filling an order for printed knickers for a hen party, Ms M suffered head injuries when accidentally injured by a colleague” continues Vicky.
“Not realizing Ms M was standing next to him, a colleague brought the top of the printing press down. It struck Ms M on the head causing bruising and swelling on her head, severe pain, concussion and blurred vision,” explains Vicky.
“The knickers were printed and hopefully the hen night was a success! However, it just shows that accidents can happen even in simple, routine tasks.”
