If you have been injured in an accident at work that was not your fault, Croftons Solicitors could help you make a compensation claim.
These accidents can leave you unable to work or enjoy life as you once did, and our dedicated personal injury experts will work hard to ensure you get the practical support you need.
How we can help
Your employer has a responsibility to provide you with a safe working environment, the appropriate health and safety equipment and necessary training at all times.
When they fail to do this, we can help establish the facts of your case and hold them accountable for their failure to ensure your wellbeing.
Our specialists have assisted in a variety of cases, from slips and trips in the office to incidents involving potentially dangerous work environments such as factories and construction sites, where heavy equipment is often used.
Of course, a hazardous work environment can also put you at risk of industrial diseases, and our team can help you make a claim in these circumstances.
We will consider any lost earnings you have suffered due to being unable to work, as well as any medical bills required as part of your treatment.
Time limits on claims
It is important to note that accident at work claims are subject to strict time limits. If you wish to make a claim, you must do so within three years of your accident.
If the extent of your injuries was not known until after the event, you must claim within three years of your diagnosis.
Your claim will become ineligible once three years have passed. It is highly unlikely you will be allowed to claim beyond this deadline.
You should also be aware that a claim is not officially ‘made’ until it has been submitted to the court. Our solicitors put a lot of effort into preparing a robust case that gives you the best chance of success, and this of course takes time.
As such, you should visit us as soon as possible after your accident to allow us enough time to prepare your claim and submit it within the time available.
