Our industrial disease specialists helped secure Mr. D of London an award of £6,000.00 in damages against his former employer Ford Motor Company, in respect of his claim for noise induced hearing loss and tinnitus.
Mr. D was employed by Ford Motor Company from 1978–2008. He worked as a production line worker, where he was subjected to excessive noise levels in the workplace throughout his employment. Mr. D was not provided with any hearing protection for the majority of his employment, or, given appropriate training regarding the use of and wearing of hearing protection.
Liability was admitted by the Defendant. Our industrial disease specialists helped negotiate the Claimant an award of damages in line with the Claimant’s hearing disability; whilst also meeting the Claimant’s expectations throughout his claim.
This is shown by the Claimant’s comments/feedback following the settlement of his case; my lawyer “acted in my best interests at all times”….“I was extremely satisfied with the service provided by Croftons”.
