£5,680 for go-kart accident victim

Croftons Solicitors have helped secure £5,680 for a woman who suffered a hand injury while go-karting with her family and friends.

The incident occurred after the victim had been on the track for around half an hour. She was travelling around the track when she crashed into a wall of tyres.

Despite the fact that she had not been driving at speed when the accident occurred, the front fender of her kart bent backwards and came into contact with her left index finger.

This caused a compound fracture of the finger, which was also sliced open causing the victim to lose the nail. The injury took four months to begin to significantly heal, and even after this she continued to feel an unpleasant sensation in the digit which led to difficulty operating a keyboard.

The go-karting venue admitted liability for the incident, and Croftons Solicitors was able to secure the victim £5,680 to compensate for her injury and subsequent time off work.
